A unique aspect of community health centers is the Board of Directors is consumer driven, meaning that more than one half of the Board are patients of the Southside Medical Center. After all, who knows best the needs of patients and the community than the people who use the services themselves?
Their unique and varied expertise, combined with their selfless commitment to achieving our mission, enables the board in providing strategic guidance, financial planning and overall governance of Southside Medical Center. Chosen for their dedication to Southside Medical Center’s mission, the Board sets Southside Medical Center’s policies, ensures financial stability, and oversees strategic planning.
