
WIC and Nutrition
WIC is a nutrition program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). Eligible enrollees receive nutrition assessment and education; support for breastfeeding moms; referrals to other health and social agencies; and health foods such as milk, cheese, cereal, tuna, and infant formula. WIC services are free to those who fulfill the following qualifications:
▪ Pregnant
▪ Just had a baby or have small children under age 5
▪ Have moderately low family income even if you work and have a documented nutrition-related medical need.
Applications are accepted Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
